This year, the number of people who want Valentine’s Day date ideas was so overwhelming compared to the number of people who want (tangible) gift ideas.. and that makes sense! Valentine’s Day has never been the most important holiday to me and I feel like it can be a little too hyped up – unless you are dating someone new who is trying to impress you, then it may be a good idea. For us ladies feeling the urge to go out on a nice date, being in the ‘Q’ has really put us on hold. So for Valentine’s Day this year, let’s plan a date! Below are some of my favorite #valentinesdaydate ideas. It doesn’t matter if you are a newly dating couple, married to your love, or just chillin’ with the parents. Let me know what you end up doing!
Galentines
Don’t be sad if you don’t have a special someone. Hangout with your girlfriends (in person or virtually). Something fun to do is a small gift exchange! Send one of your BFF’s a small basket filled with face masks, some chocolates, and some bubble bath. Pamper yourselves and watch a fun movie – I personally love Brigitte Jones’ Diary.
A Family Affair Valentines
Lots of people are spending all their time at home with their family. If you are home from college or simply just kicking it with the parents, you can still make it a fun night! Gather around a table and have a game night. Linked below are some of my all time favorites to play with my family. What’s your favorite game?
A Stay at Home Date
If you are still under a local stay-at-home order you may feel a little limited in what you can do to have a romantic night. But don’t worry! There are so many ways to make it special still.
My #1 advice is to order dinner from your favorite local restaurants! They have been struggling to stay open, and Valentine’s Day is usually a big night for them. If you can, order from your local non-chain restaurants (not via DoorDash, Postmates, UberEats, etc, because the restaurant doesn’t get as much money). From there, light some candles to set the mood, and put on some of your favorite music. I personally have plans to get take-out from a local Italian restaurant, set up my dining table, and play our first dance song.
This is also a great time to dress up! I will link below some of my favorite Valentine’s outfits.
Regardless of what your plans are or who you are spending Valentines with, have a good time!
